As a consultant and former practitioner in higher education, Mickey has 28 years of experience building, implementing and leading enrollment and student success systems and teams. His focus has been on helping institutions grow enrollment through the expanded use of AI, CRM technology, and sound enrollment strategies.
Mickey currently serves as Senior Vice President of Market Development at Human Capital Education, where he leads the company’s efforts in marketing, partnerships and the development of new service offerings. In 2026, Mickey will oversee the launch of the company’s newest service offering to support institutional adoption of AI.
Outside of work, Mickey is an RV enthusiast, traveling to various destinations around the country with his family every spring, summer, and fall. He also hosts and produces a higher ed podcast, Spark & Scale, focused on concepts, strategies and tactics to evolve institutions as they learn how to lead with AI. He is very active on LinkedIn, providing tips and strategies gained from his work as a consultant, and presents regularly at conferences across the country.
